The Waco Symphony Orchestra is participating in Orchestras Feeding America 2017, and concert attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to the March 18 concert at Waco Hall. Donations will be distributed locally through Caritas. The 2017 food drive goal is to collect 4,250 pounds of food.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., and donation boxes will be present at Waco Hall’s main entrances and in the Waco Hall lobby prior to the concert. A donation box will also be available for concert attendees who ride the bus from the Waco Drive pick-up point.

Most-needed food items include dry and canned soup, rice, powdered and canned milk, macaroni & cheese, cereal, peanut butter, beans, canned fruit, canned vegetables, tuna, canned meats, stew, pasta, and fruit juices. No perishable or non-food items can be accepted. Check donations will also be accepted at the Waco Hall lobby donation site. Checks should be made payable to Caritas.
