The February 14, 2012 concert, featuring Chris Botti, will be held at 8 p.m. at the Masonic Grand Lodge, 715 Columbus Avenue, Waco. All other concerts will be held in Waco Hall on the Baylor University campus and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Burst upon the
music world at age 16
Pianist André Watts, who was scheduled to perform with the Waco Symphony Orchestra Thursday evening, January 12, has, unfortunately, canceled the engagement due to an injured finger. He is extremely sorry that this has happened and has agreed to return in April to play a recital.
Adam Golka (http://www.adamgolka.com/), a rising star in classical music, has agreed to join the WSO to perform the piece Watts was scheduled to perform, Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2. Golka, 24, was a student of José Feghali when he was 15 and currently studies with Leon Fleisher, the former teacher of André Watts.
Ticket holders for Thursday’s WSO concert will be invited to attend the recital at no additional charge.

Began piano studies with his mother, Dr. Ruth Pitts.
Received his M.M. and D.M.A. in piano performance from the University of North Texas, where he studied under Vladimir Viardo, the 1973 Gold Medal Winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
An active solo performer, and recently a semi-finalist in the International Competition of 20th Century Piano Music in Orleans, France.
Maintains an active schedule at Stephen F. Austin as a collaborative pianist, performing in faculty, guest artist and student recitals, competitions, auditions and master classes.
Performed with the Waco Symphony Orchestra twice in the past, on May 13, 1985, for an Encore Concert, and on March 6, 2004.
