Celebrating the 21st Anniversary Season

Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra.

The Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra, now celebrating its 21st concert season, is comprised of around 50 students from all over Central Texas. Membership is by audition. Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons, mostly at Baylor University with a few at McLennan Community College.

In addition, the orchestra holds a Concerto Competition each spring for the following year. The winner receives a full WSYO tuition award for the following year, as well as a solo performance in the next Spring Concert.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Play a prepared piece, and prepare to play scales in the keys of A, D, G, C, F, Bb and Eb major.
