Celebrating the 25th Anniversary Season

Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra.

The Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra, now celebrating its 25th concert season, is comprised of around 50 students from all over Central Texas. Membership is by audition. Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons, primarily at Baylor University.

In addition, the orchestra holds a Concerto Competition each spring for the following year. The winner receives a full WSYO tuition award for the following year, as well as a solo performance in the next Spring Concert.


Returning members of the string and woodwind sections need not audition. Simply pay your tuition and fill out the registration form at the links below.

All brass and percussion students as well as students wishing to join WSYO for the first time are to fill out the registration form and submit an audition video at the links below. You will be notified by email regarding acceptance status.

Concerto Competition

Students wishing to enter the Young Artist Concerto Competition are to submit a video link via the form below. Please indicate in the appropriate place that you are entering the concerto competition.
