Celebrating the 17th Anniversary Season

Accepted by audition, the Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra performs a concert each fall and spring.  Over 50 students from the Central Texas area participate in the orchestra.

CONCERTO COMPETITION AND AUDITION INFORMATION
FOR THE 2008-09 WSYO CONCERT SEASON

Auditions for the 2008-09 season will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Baylor University in the McCrary Music Building. Auditions will be by appointment only, between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. Students may also opt to use their audition to compete in the 2008 Concerto Competition. The winner of the competition receives a full tuition award for the 2008-09 season, as well as a solo performance at the Spring, 2009 concert.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Scales in the keys of A, D, G, C, F, Bb and Eb major, and a prepared solo.
