Waco Symphony Council

Since 1962, the Waco Symphony Council has been supporting and assisting the Waco Symphony Orchestra through service and fundraising. The Council provides financial resources to fund scholarships to Baylor music students who play in the Waco Symphony, sponsors WSO concerts each year, and endows the Waco Symphony Council Conductor’s Chair, which is funded through the Waco Symphony Foundation.

The Waco Symphony Council welcomes both men and women as members, with many opportunities for friendship and service in the community. Becoming a Council member is an excellent way to help keep the Waco Symphony Orchestra strong. To learn more and for membership information, visit WacoSymphonyCouncil.com.

Belles & Brass

The Belles and Brass program of the Waco Symphony Council is designed for area high school students—Sophomore and Junior girls and Junior boys—to raise awareness of and volunteer for the Symphony and to educate these future leaders in music appreciation, leadership qualities, and etiquette. It also gives participants a social opportunity to meet and develop friendships with other area students from a variety of schools. The program culminates the spring of their junior year with a formal presentation at a special event. This year’s presentation and gala will be on Saturday, March 16, 2024. For more information and registration, visit WacoSymphonyCouncil.com.

Belles and Brass sponsors are required to purchase season tickets at the Sustainer level or above in addition to paying the participation fee for the program.
