Layci Dagley

Layci Dagley is the principal percussionist with the Waco Symphony Orchestra (WSO). She has been a member of the WSO since 2007. Ms. Dagley also plays percussion and drums for Cottonwood Creek Church in Allen, Texas, and is the drummer for a trio named The Joel Sprayberry Band. She is a freelance percussionist/drummer and teaches private lessons. Ms. Dagley earned a bachelor’s degree in classical percussion performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and has had the privilege of performing with many inspiring artists including: Aretha Franklin, Yo-Yo Ma, Renee Fleming, Chris Botti, Art Garfunkel, The Texas Tenors, and Mariachi Vargas. Several of those performances were with the Waco Symphony. She’s also been afforded the opportunity to play with orchestras in England, Scotland, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, Guatemala, and Panama. During that same time, Ms. Dagley had the honor of being a student of Edward Stephan periodically for eleven years before he became the timpanist for the San Francisco Symphony. Most importantly, she has the privilege of being mom to two creative children.
