Step into the magic of Broadway when the Waco Symphony presents An Emerald City Evening: Wicked & All-Time Broadway Favorites on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. inside Waco Hall. 

Maestro Lawrence Loh welcomes powerhouse Broadway vocalists Mamie Parris, Shayna Steele, and Nathaniel Hackmann for an unforgettable night celebrating the music of Emerald City and beyond. 

The evening features music from Wicked and a collection of Broadway’s most beloved showstoppers, including selections from Les Misérables, The Lion King,West Side Story, and more. The program showcases vocal performances paired with the rich, full sound of the symphony in celebration of musical theater’s most iconic moments. 

Mamie Parris brings a special connection to the music of Wicked, having starred as Elphaba in the first national tour of the production, while Shayna Steele is featured on the original soundtrack. Nathaniel Hackmann portrayed Jean Valjean and Javert on Broadway in Les Misérables, as well as Gaston and the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. 

From classic standards to modern favorites, this concert brings the spirit of Broadway to Central Texas in a spectacular live performance.
