
Every season at the Waco Symphony feels like a collection of shared moments waiting to unfold. Music we haven’t yet heard together, but can already begin to imagine in the space of Waco Hall.
We’re excited to share a first look at the Waco Symphony 26/27 season.
Every season tells its own story, and this one is filled with moments that feel both familiar and full of discovery. From film favorites and holiday traditions to legendary masterworks and incredible guest artists, there is so much to look forward to.
The 26/27 season includes five regular-season performances, along with two special performances: The Nutcracker and Film in Concert.

September 24, 2026 featuring Orion Weiss, pianist
We open the season with pianist Orion Weiss, known for his expressive clarity and depth. It’s a performance that invites us to listen closely and settle into the year ahead.
October 15, 2026 featuring Sharon Isbin, classical guitar

Multiple Grammy Award-winning guitarist Sharon Isbin brings an intimate and striking program that highlights the artistry and range of the classical guitar.
November 15, 2026: Film in Concert
We’ll bring a beloved film to life with its score performed live in sync with the full movie. There’s something special about experiencing a story this way, where familiar moments on screen are deepened and transformed by music happening around you. The title will be announced soon.

December 12 & 13, 2026: The Nutcracker
A cherished holiday tradition returns to Waco Hall, featuring Ballet Frontier and the Waco Symphony Orchestra. This is the only production in Central Texas with a live orchestra.
January 19, 2027: John Williams’s 95th Birthday Celebration Concert
We celebrate one of the most iconic composers of our time with a concert honoring John Williams and the music that has shaped generations of film lovers.

March 18, 2027: featuring William Hagen, violinist
Violinist William Hagen brings his artistry to Waco Hall for an evening that highlights both technical brilliance and expressive depth.
April 15, 2027: Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony

We close the season with Beethoven’s monumental Ninth Symphony, a powerful work that continues to resonate across generations. This performance features acclaimed soloists Reginald Smith, Jr (Grammy and Emmy Award-winning baritone), Jack Swanson (tenor), Katherine Whyte (soprano), and Jamie Van Eyck (mezzo-soprano), bringing this timeless masterpiece to life in an unforgettable way.
Even in the first glimpse, there’s a sense of the journey ahead. That’s what we love most about sharing a season like this. It’s a year of experiences we get to move through together in Waco Hall.
